DOWN WITH PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. LONG LIVE REPAIR CULTURE. MAKE WEIRD ELECTRONIC SOUNDS.

Hands adjusting knobs on a wooden electronic instrument

The Disengineering Society is a hardware hacking collective. We run workshops teaching people how to build electronic musical instruments using salvaged electronic waste.

Our workshops are chaotic, noisy, and destructive. They’re also conceptually focussed, collaborative environments that ask participants: what happens if we start from decay rather than growth when thinking about technology?

We also make zines. We love making zines. They’re mostly illustrated educational manuals that supplement our workshops, and are all handmade.
